Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith #2

The second chapter of this six-part Dark Horse miniseries arrives with a cover by Andrew Robinson that puts the tension front and center: a grimacing armored soldier lunges toward the viewer clutching a blaster rifle, while three younger figures behind him — two raising pistols, one wielding a brilliant blue lightsaber — hold their ground against a dusky, planet-lit sky. With a creative team of Darko Macan, Ramón Bachs, and Raúl Fernández driving the story, Jedi vs. Sith was clearly committed to a grounded, character-focused take on the galaxy's most enduring conflict. A satisfying entry in one of 2001's more ambitious Star Wars storytelling efforts.
