C-3PO lies battered in the foreground while R2-D2 is besieged by a swarm of menacing alien creatures, red laser blasts cutting through a grim, claustrophobic environment — it's a cover that immediately signals the galaxy's favorite droids are in very serious trouble. Dark Horse's 1995 series continues its "Season of Revolt" storyline with issue six, and Kilian Plunkett's cover art delivers a wonderfully gritty, kinetic energy that makes the threat feel genuinely urgent. With Jan Strnad writing and Bill Hughes on interior art, this is Star Wars expanded-universe storytelling with plenty of heart for fans of the mechanical duo.
