Star Wars #29

Something unexpected is afoot in Star Wars #29 — titled "A Little Break" — as the cover by E. M. Gist presents Leia draped in an elegant white gown at the center of what appears to be a grand, flower-adorned ceremony, flanked by a charming Lando Calrissian on her arm and a masked Luke Skywalker standing at the top of the staircase behind her. Chewbacca lurks in the foreground, blaster rifle in hand, suggesting that even the most glamorous social occasions in a galaxy far, far away come with a security detail. Writer Charles Soule and artist Ramón Rosanas (with colors by Rachelle Rosenberg) bring this intriguing change of scenery to life, and it's hard not to be curious about what kind of "little break" requires this much finery — and this much firepower.
