Star Trek: Year Five #4
In "Captains of Sea and War," Spock is thrust into a pivotal moment in Vulcan history, witnessing the birth of Surak’s philosophy firsthand—only to discover the truth behind the legend is far more complex than recorded. Meanwhile, in the present, Kirk and the Enterprise face a chilling anomaly as a Vulcan fleet, shadowed by Romulan tactics, moves against them in an altered timeline. Written by Brandon Easton and brought to life by Silvia Califano’s detailed art and DC Alonso’s vivid colors, this issue blends time-travel intrigue with the enduring tension between logic and emotion. The cover by J. J. Lendl captures the clash of eras with striking precision.
