“Stranger Worlds [Part Two]”

The tagline says it all — "The Spectrum War was just the beginning…" — and issue #2 of this DC/IDW crossover miniseries wastes no time raising the stakes. The cover, by Angel Hernández, puts Sinestro front and center, crackling with yellow fear energy, with the U.S.S. Enterprise looming ominously behind him amid a debris field of shattered rock and yellow lightning. It's a genuinely compelling collision of two beloved universes, with Mike Johnson and Hernández steering the "Stranger Worlds" saga deeper into uncharted territory.

Hal and the Enterprise crew battle Sinestro and the Klingons over an inactive Manhunter drone that has been discovered. Sinestro escapes with the drone, theorizing that if Manhunters exist in this universe then so must The Guardians, who would have a power battery capable of recharging the rings of the various Lanterns. Sinestro plans to use the drone to find his way to Oa. Meanwhile, John, Guy, and Kilowog track Atrocitus across the galaxy, where Atrocitus has unleashed a new threat: Khan!
