This 1978 Gold Key entry promises a wild collision of eras, as the cover tagline warns that "Captain Kirk sees ancient history — being unmade!" The cover depicts a massive war elephant carrying an armored soldier in a howdah, surrounded by spear-wielding warriors, while two figures in Starfleet uniforms struggle against what appears to be a shimmering energy barrier — with photo insets of Kirk and Spock looking on with concern.
