“Destination... Annihilation!”

"Destination... Annihilation!" delivers a delightfully absurd showdown in Star Trek #51 (1978), where the Chairman’s transmutation gun goes haywire in a twist of cosmic comedy. With art by Sal Buscema and inks by Joe Sinnott, the issue unfolds with a surreal clash of gadgets and snacks, as Twinkies become the unexpected weapon of choice. A 35-cent adventure in 1978, it’s a quirky, high-energy ride that’s as sweet as it is strange.
