From Gold Key's long-running Star Trek series comes this 1977 entry, where the cover teases something genuinely unsettling: the Enterprise spiraling into a swirling, lightless void while an enormous, ethereal feminine face — The Companion — looms from the darkness around it. A small inset portrait of two crew members hints at the human drama unfolding aboard ship, and the cover copy says it all: "The Companion plunges the Enterprise into a starless void!"
