“Where No Man Has Gone Before (Part Two)”

IDW's 2011 Star Trek series continues with issue #2, its striking Cover A by Tim Bradstreet built around the Starfleet delta shield, within which three faces are layered in dramatic composition — a figure displaying glowing eyes and strange facial markings dominates the center, flanked by two other characters whose cool, watchful expressions frame the image above and below. The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 glides through a starfield within the shield's lower panel, while technical schematics of the ship spread across the blue-toned background. "Where No Man Has Gone Before, Part Two" promises plenty of cosmic tension, with writer Mike Johnson and artist Stephen Molnar pushing this reimagined voyage into genuinely compelling territory.
