Donna had come to Australia from England as a young orphan to live at her uncle's sheep station. Although she had been in Australia for seven years, she still missed her life in England. When some English geologists get her uncle's permission to study the mineral content of Piper's Peak, she becomes fascinated with one of them. She knows she isn't being fair to her Australian boyfriend, but she can't get the English boy out of her thoughts.
