Star Love Stories in Pictures #1114
"Leave Me Alone!" is a poignant slice of teenage rebellion and sisterly tension in this 1986 D.C. Thomson gem, where nineteen-year-old film star Libby flees her overprotective sister Julia after years of living in her shadow. Seeking freedom in the desert, Libby finds unexpected romance with a rancher in Blackwater Creek—only for Julia to resurface with manipulative tactics to pull her back into the spotlight. Penciled and inked by John McNamara, the story unfolds with quiet intensity, while the cover by Giovanni Tedesco captures the desert’s stark beauty and Libby’s quiet defiance.
