Liz was the secretary for a best-selling author and was secretly in love with him. After finishing a book, he is going to join a wealthy family on their yacht and he asks Liz to drive down to Cannes in her Mercedes to meet him. When she arrives, the author tells her that the daughter of the wealthy family is pressuring him to marry her and he asks Liz to pretend to be his fiancee. In a short time, the pretense starts to become real, but now Liz is having doubts because of a man she met on the way to Cannes.
