She considers going into nursing, but her father uses his money to get Helen the juvenile lead in a local repertory company without telling her. Everyone in the production company is rude to her, but eventually the scenic designer softens his attitude toward her. When they fall in love, the man her father would like her to marry tricks them to split them up.
