Lia was a top recording star and Cal was a brilliant songwriter who dedicated all his compositions to her. Meanwhile, Kim had been in love with Cal almost as long as she had been his secretary, but Cal couldn't see past Lia. When Lia announces that she is marrying someone else, Cal takes it hard. He alienates all his friends and leaves without a trace. But Kim uses all her money to track him down. He is sleeping in an old barn in the country and Kim decides she will become his shadow until he turns his life around.
