Star-Lord #3

Peter Quill cuts a swaggering, roguish figure on this Dave Johnson cover — standing atop a gleaming mountain of gold coins, blaster in one hand and a skull-and-crossbones flag bearing his "S·L" insignia in the other. It's a deliberately over-the-top portrait of a space pirate in his element, equal parts bravado and charm. Sam Humphries and Javier Garrón's 2016 series was clearly having a lot of fun with the character, and this cover sets that freewheeling tone perfectly.
