Star Comics #9 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. One story follows a character named Dan who, after leaving a gambling room at the Earth-American Hotel, is confronted by a gunman named Rocco and forced into the hotel basement, where Rocco attempts to eliminate him through exposure to intense heat. Another story depicts a wizard recounting his encounter with a haggard witch and his subsequent adventures at King Arthur's castle, where he uses magic to defeat supernatural creatures and ultimately escapes before daylight. A third humorous story titled "Bows an' Arrows" features animal characters on a radio program discussing their musical preferences, with one character claiming to sing opera and another mentioning Faust.
