Star Brand #2
In "Taking Charge!", Ken Connell faces two high-stakes crises: rescuing a boy from a well in Kingston, New York, and thwarting a terrorist takeover of a cruise ship armed with a nuclear device. With Spitfire’s sudden intervention and the Troubleshooters’ growing presence, Connell must confront the fallout of their actions while trying to keep the balance between power and responsibility. Written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by John Romita Jr., with inks by Al Williamson and colors by George Roussos and Bob Sharen, this 1986 Marvel issue captures the escalating tension of a hero navigating both physical danger and moral complexity.

Ken Connell travels to Kingston, New York to save a boy who fell down a well. Before doing so, Spitfire suddenly appears and flies down the well to save the boy. Later, Connell attempts to help a cruise ship held hostage by Middle Eastern terrorists holding a nuclear weapon. Commandos take out the terrorists at the same time and Connell is able to neutralize the damage done by the triggered nuclear device by taking it down to the bottom of the ocean.
