Stålmannen #4/1971
In "Stålflickans förbannelse!", Stålflickan is deceived into believing she’s been radiation-poisoned and that her touch kills all superbeings. Convinced she’s a danger, she agrees to be exiled to the Fantomzone—unaware that the sinister agent Sklor is behind the scheme, setting the stage for a Mutorian invasion of Earth. Written by Leo Dorfman and illustrated by Jim Mooney, with lettering by Sune Käll, the cover by Dick Giordano captures the eerie tension of her isolation.
In "Stålflickans förbannelse!", Jo is manipulated into believing she’s fatally irradiated—her touch now deadly to all superbeings—and agrees to be exiled to the Phantom Zone to protect the world. But as the truth unfolds, it becomes clear that the sinister agent Sklor is behind the deception, setting the stage for a Mutarian invasion of Earth.
In "Den tusenåriga sömnen," Doktor Dorrow captures Stålmannen and Lois, then sends them to Venus. When they wake, they believe a thousand years have passed and that they’re still on Earth—though everything around them has changed in ways they can’t yet understand.
