A spy hunter discovers a beautiful woman claiming to be Maud Winters, a former Italian fascist agent, who reveals a plot involving the conversion of captured Italian submarine pens to peacetime uses. After arriving in New York, the spy hunter becomes suspicious when a girl found in Berlin claims to be Maud Winters, suggesting an impostor is attempting to infiltrate American intelligence. The hunter pursues the false agent across the Atlantic and through the Connecticut countryside while uncovering her true allegiance to a foreign power seeking to steal secrets about the converted submarine facilities.

Slim Tremaine's rubber-tree survey in the Brazilian jungle takes an unexpected turn when a movie crew—led by director Señor Lorca and featuring actress Chica Carioca—arrives in the remote Serra Formosa to film an adventure picture. When hostile Indians kidnap Lorca and seize some of the film equipment, Slim begins to suspect the operation is far more than it appears, especially after discovering that a surveyor's transit in their possession has a suspicious military history. As Slim races to uncover the truth before Chica becomes entangled in whatever scheme Lorca is actually running, the stakes in this isolated jungle frontier grow deadlier by the hour.

When a Nazi saboteur with a deadly secret locked in his amnesia-clouded mind is kidnapped from a heavily guarded New York hospital, F.B.I. counter-espionage ace Jerry Maxwell finds himself racing against Soviet agents and a memory-restoring drug to prevent catastrophe. The trail leads from the Connecticut countryside to Manhattan's underworld, where a mysterious blonde woman claims to be the captive's niece—but Maxwell must determine whether she's an ally or part of the conspiracy. With explosives hidden somewhere in the city and enemies closing in from every direction, Maxwell has only hours to uncover the truth and stop a plot that could level New York itself.

Affray in Afghanistan
9 pp · Spy

Chuck Malcolm's layover in New Delhi takes a wild turn when a mysterious rug meant for his luggage lands him in the crosshairs of a covert operation—he's mistaken for a Communist spy smuggling military secrets encoded in an Afghan textile. Teaming up with Safira, a determined Afghan secret agent, Chuck must navigate a frantic chase through the streets and bazaars of the Orient to keep a crucial map from falling into enemy hands and threatening the defense of an entire region. In this 1951 adventure, an innocent mix-up becomes a desperate race against espionage and invasion.
