Spooky Spooktown #20

This Giant-Size Harvey Comics offering brings together a terrific roster of friendly-ghost favorites — Spooky, Casper, Wendy, Poil, and the Ghostly Trio are all previewed in the left-hand panels. The cover itself is a wonderfully absurd scene: a menacing green-faced monster in a purple suit has cornered a wide-eyed, trembling Spooky, apparently attempting to hang the little ghost on a rack already crowded with other ghostly "garments" dangling from hangers. For 25 cents in 1967, this was a genuinely fun package of spooky (and slightly silly) supernatural hijinks that Harvey Comics did so well.
