Against a blood-red sky dominated by a looming full moon and a shadowy city skyline, a sharp-eyed young woman takes center stage on Janry's cover — gun raised and expression all business — while behind her a figure in a white suit sprawls over what appears to be a dazed Spirou. "Mafia, Mädchen und Moneten" promises a New York-flavored caper mixing danger, glamour, and the series' signature wit, and this 1995 Carlsen Comics edition delivers that mood in a single striking image. Tome and Janry were clearly having a great deal of fun pushing Belgium's favorite bellhop into decidedly shadier territory.
