Spirou and Fantasio look decidedly outmatched on this Janry cover, where the two heroes — along with their squirrel companion Spip — cower beneath the towering legs of the formidable Cyanide, a yellow-clad villainess who looms over them with a shotgun against a backdrop of menacing pink machinery. The title Who Will Stop Cyanide? sets up a delicious challenge, and the composition leaves little doubt about who currently holds the upper hand. Tome and Janry's twelfth Cinebook volume promises the kind of madcap adventure and stylish villainy that has long made this Franco-Belgian series such a pleasure.
