Spike vs. Dracula #5

The five-issue showdown between two of horror's most compelling vampires reaches its finale with this 2006 IDW release, "Road to Hell." Joe Corroney's cover art captures the tension perfectly: a cool, arms-crossed Spike dominates the foreground while a fangs-bared, furious Dracula looms behind him clutching what appears to be a stake — the body language alone tells you everything about where these two stand with each other. With Peter David writing and art from Zach Howard and Nicola Scott, this closing chapter promises a satisfying end to one of the more fun vampire rivalries comics had to offer that year.
