Spike: After the Fall #2

Franco Urru's cover for this 2008 IDW series puts Spike front and center — bleach-blond hair, billowing black coat, and a sword in one hand while he flashes a casual peace sign with the other — all while massive, snarling dragons loom in a fire-scorched hellscape around him. It's a perfectly distilled image of the character: surrounded by chaos, utterly unbothered. Brian Lynch and Urru continue their post-Angel spin-off with this second issue, and the cover alone promises that Spike's apocalyptic situation hasn't dulled his swagger one bit.
