Der Zirkus des Verbrechens und seine Mitglieder sind gerade aus dem Gefängnis entlassen worden, und halten in einem Hotelzimmer ein Treffen ab. Als Spider-Man ihnen einen Besuch abstattet, kauft er ihnen ihre Rehabilitation doch nicht ab, und zur Sicherheit versteckt er unbemerkt einen Spinnensender im Hut des Ringmaster. Als Spidey nicht mehr da ist will Ringmaster genauso weitermachen wie zuvor und mit seinem Zirkus auf Beutezug gehen, doch seine Bande will nicht wieder das gleiche machen und so verlassen sie ihn. Und gründen ihre eigene Bande mit der sie einen Kunstraub begehen wollen...
