In the wake of Captain Stacy's death, Peter tries to keep his relationship with Gwendy strong while trying to protect her from being attacked by Doc Ock who is feeling the heat from the death of her father. Spider-Man gets Ock's target wrong, however, and ends up having to save J. Jonah Jameson from the villain.
