“Just a Guy Named Joe!”

In "Just a Guy Named Joe!", ordinary Joe Smith’s life takes a wild turn when a lab accident transforms him into a violent, electrically charged monster—fueling a rampage against those who ever doubted him. Meanwhile, Spider-Man is caught in a deadly crossfire as Norman Osborn offers a bounty for his capture, and even a chance encounter with Mary Jane slips through Pete’s fingers. Written by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, with art, inks, and letters by Ditko, this 1973 UK weekly thriller blends sci-fi madness with classic Spidey tension, all on a cover by Ditko.
