“The Schemer!”

In "The Schemer!", Tony Stark faces a crisis of conscience as he struggles to balance his duties as Iron Man with the personal toll it's taking on those around him. With Happy Hogan gravely ill and Pepper struggling to understand his absence, Tony must confront his own emotions while the Countess's presence adds tension to an already fragile situation. Written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Don Heck, with inks by Wally Wood and lettering by Art Simek, this emotionally charged issue captures a rare moment of vulnerability for the armored hero. The cover, by Ron Wilson and Mike Esposito, perfectly frames the drama unfolding behind hospital doors.
