About this Collection

This collection brings together the early issues of the 2010 'Spider-Man: Amazing' series, a short-lived but notable run that followed Peter Parker during a transitional period in his life. Written by Fred Van Lente with art by Cory Smith and Reilly Brown, the story sees Spider-Man dealing with new villains and personal challenges while maintaining his usual wisecracking heroism.

In this 2010 installment of Spider-Man: Amazing, written by Paul Tobin and illustrated by Matteo Lolli, Spider-Man is enlisted by the enigmatic Blonde Phantom to shadow Wolverine for a day—testing if the berserker can be a clean-cut ambassador for "Rebellion" hair gel. What starts as a bizarre PR stunt quickly spirals into chaos when Wolverine’s usual brand of trouble draws the Torino mob into the mix. Just as things heat up, Bullseye appears—saving Spider-Man not out of kindness, but to set the stage for a personal reckoning. The cover, by Karl Kerschl and Serge LaPointe, captures the moment with sharp, kinetic energy.

Blonde Phantom hires Spider-Man and Chat to follow Wolverine for a day to see if he is trouble free enough to become the spokesperson for "Rebellion" hair gel. Of course, "trouble free" isn't really in Wolvie's repertoire and he and Spidey end up mixing it up with members of the Torino mob. During the fight, Bullseye shows up and rescues Spider-Man from the gangsters but promises that it is only so he can take the hero down himself.
