Marvel's MC2 imprint was producing some genuinely compelling superhero work in 1999, and Spider-Girl #6 offers a vivid example with this striking cover by Patrick Olliffe and Al Williamson. Dominating the red, web-patterned background is Ladyhawk — clad in a sleek green-and-gold costume with lightning bolt accents, hands crackling with energy, looking every bit as dangerous as the tagline "As Lethal As She Is Lovely" promises. Written by Tom DeFalco with interior art by Pat Olliffe and Al Williamson, this issue centers on the daughter of the true Spider-Man squaring off against a villain who clearly means business.
