Spider-Girl #3

Spider-Girl faces her biggest challenge yet in issue #3, as the cover — penciled by Patrick Olliffe and inked by Al Williamson — shows May Parker crouching in the foreground while the full Fantastic Five loom dramatically behind her: a fiery Human Torch blazing with outstretched arms, the rocky-fisted Thing, a blue-suited Invisible Woman, a green-skinned figure, and an armored teammate rounding out this future-world superteam. The tagline promises she'll face off against "the greatest heroes of her world," and with Tom DeFalco writing and Pat Olliffe on interior art, this 1998 series is already delivering on the promise of Marvel's next generation.
