In "Big Bannon of the U.S. Marines," written by Rem Brant, Marines are stationed at the Philippine Islands reporting secret agents' activities, and at headquarters discuss safeguarding the U.S. from being dragged into war while airplanes scout for anything unusual. A third story features Jack battling the villain Landor—a monster-maker who captures Jack and uses Marcia as leverage, forcing Jack to fight Landor repeatedly until Jack obtains a solution to restore Marcia's sight and escapes the castle, though Landor vows continued revenge.
Landor, the vengeful monster maker, orchesters a sinister scheme to bend Jack Torrence to his will by kidnapping the young woman he loves and subjecting her to a horrifying transformation via the aquatic creature Stumbi. When Torrence races to rescue her, he discovers the true scope of Landor's cruelty and must confront the madman in his own castle to reclaim what has been stolen.
