With Peter gone, Kraven dons Spider-Man’s costume and takes up the mantle—becoming a brutal, twisted version of the hero. When Mary Jane provokes a pair of street thugs and is chased into the shadows, she’s saved by a Spider-Man who moves with terrifying precision—but this one is not her husband.

In "Tuono," Spider-Man confronts Kraven in a tense showdown that turns into a twisted test of dominance. Kraven, having donned Spider-Man’s costume and buried the hero, claims to have proven himself superior—not through force, but by replacing his prey. Instead of fighting, Kraven forces Spider-Man into an underground cave to battle Vermin, letting the creature win before releasing him. With a final promise to end his hunt, Kraven sends Spider-Man off to track down Vermin—then retreats into a coffin, shotgun in hand.
