Joyce and Jeff meet at a fancy resort in New Mexico and fall in love. Janet fears Jeff thinks she’s wealthy, but she's really a secretary who saved for three years to finance her trip. Joyce loses $300 at a casino and doesn’t have the cash to pay, so Jeff covers her loss. The next day, he’s gone from the resort. Joyce returns to work in the city and accidentally bumps into Jeff, an engineer working on a construction site. He says he left because he thought Joyce was too rich for him. Joyce explains that she only makes $50 a week and they decide to get married and pool their resources.
