# Sparkler Comics #47 Sparkler Comics #47 is an anthology containing "The Spark Man," a superhero story by Fred Methot and Paul Berdanier in which Spark Man, recently discharged from the Army, is tasked with dismantling a subversive gambling ring preying on ex-servicemen in Metropole City; a "Spark Salute" feature honoring real military heroes including Pfc. Ross and Lt. Stephen R. Gregg; a humorous strip featuring an old man and eagle involved in slapstick mishaps with children and animals; and a romantic drama in which David attempts to win back his lost love Henrietta through a radio broadcast and Western Union telegram, ultimately proposing marriage to her.
