A man named Henry carefully plans a spaceship construction site for Earth 687, concealing food in his briefcase until the proper moment. When the ship blasts off, Henry's body is discovered inside, revealing his dream of space travel has become reality. As the ship encounters various hostile alien worlds including one with poisonous gases, monstrous creatures, and a giant serpent, a Cruiser Group led by Commodore Biddle's flagship pursues the vessel through deep space toward the target area where the original ship was last sighted.

Captain Rip Barker's rescue of a fellow spaceman from a crippled ship sets off a chain of events that takes an unexpected turn when the rescued Soviet pilot reveals his true intentions on an uncharted, resource-rich planet. With the natives of this strange world proving far more intelligent than they first appear, Rip must navigate the collision between Cold War ambition and the hidden powers of an alien civilization.

Henry Tobin, a meek government accountant stuck in a dreary life, stows away aboard an experimental space ship in hopes of escaping his mundane existence—and finds himself stranded on a mysterious planet where his every wish comes true. When his old flame from high school doesn't work out, he wishes back the one person he never expected to see again: his domineering wife Martha. Together they discover that unlimited desire isn't quite the paradise they imagined.

The Friendly Creatures
6 pp · Science Fiction

After two centuries of searching distant stars for intelligent life, the crew of the space ship Symbiosis finally discovers what humanity has been seeking on the planet Markus IX—though not quite in the way they expected. When Captain Anson and his team encounter peculiar small creatures that seem harmless and friendly, a shocking discovery forces them to confront the reality that they are being watched by an intelligence far beyond their own. Now stranded and cut off from rescue, the crew must face the unknown that has revealed itself on this deceptively peaceful world.

The Space Serpent
6 pp · Science Fiction

Commodore Luke Biddle commands Earth Cruiser G37 when his crew encounters a gigantic serpent drifting through the outer reaches of space—a discovery so extraordinary that even photographs barely convince Galactic Command it exists. Assigned to lead a heavily armed task force to stop the creature before it threatens the galaxy, Biddle and his crew must find the monster's weakness before it's too late. A tense deep-space battle unfolds as the serpent proves nearly invulnerable to conventional weapons, forcing Biddle to make a desperate choice to protect everything humanity holds dear.
