Spécial Strange #6

Sep 2023 · Organic Comix; Original Watts · 13 EUR

In this standout issue of Spécial Strange #6, the enigmatic Darkfire recounts the mysterious tale of Whitestar’s descent into a black hole and his improbable return—changed, burdened, and driven by a quest for understanding. With Whitestar now seeking answers on Earth from the reclusive Mystiko, the story unfolds around a sword forged from otherworldly metal, a weapon that answers only to its chosen wielder. The tale blends cosmic mystery with quiet introspection, illustrated with striking art by Michael Thibodeaux and inks by Marty Lasick, while the cover by Jack Kirby (pencils) and Mike Thibodeaux (inks) delivers a bold, timeless presence.

Darkfire relates the story, as he knows it, of how Whitestar entered a black hole, and returned. Later, Whitestar searched out Mystiko on Earth to find out how to activate the mystical metal he brought back from the black hole. The metal was forged into a sword which would only respond to Whitestar. Whitestar also found peace and renounced battle.
