In this 2001 special, Kenneth Irons' ruthless pursuit of the Witchblade plunges Sara Pezzini into peril, forcing her to flee to Gotham City and seek help from Barbara Gordon. With the Witchblade's influence spreading, Barbara brings Sara to the JLA Tower for medical aid—only for Martian Manhunter to confront the weapon's psychic grip firsthand. As the blade begins to take control, Barbara, Huntress, and Wonder Woman find themselves ensnared in its growing power, unaware of the true extent of the threat they now face.
