Southern Cross #4

Issue four of Image's unsettling sci-fi series delivers a cover by Becky Cloonan that pulls you in close — literally. A sharp-eyed woman in a red-banded cap stares out with piercing blue eyes, her expression taut and wary, while a blood-dripping, fang-filled maw looms in the shadows to her left. Loughridge's deep, bruised color palette makes every detail feel claustrophobic and charged, perfectly matching the dread-soaked tone Cloonan and Belanger have built across this series.
