Sonic the Hedgehog Archives #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume collects issues #29 through #32 of Archie's classic Sonic the Hedgehog series, continuing the adventures of Sonic, Tails, and the Freedom Fighters as they battle Dr. Eggman's schemes. The stories feature the introduction of the villainous Mammoth Mogul and a trip to the mysterious Zone of Silence, expanding the lore of the comic's unique universe.
In "Steel-Belted Sally," Jo finds herself captured and roboticized by Dr. Robotnik’s forces, but with a secret plan: a hidden device allows her to retain her free will, turning her into a sleeper agent within the very machine that seeks to erase her. As she navigates the cold logic of her new form, she must outwit her enemies from the inside—without losing herself in the process.
When a lab accident strands Dr. Robotnik in the trans-dimensional void, Snively seizes the chance to launch his own attacks on Sonic and the Freedom Fighters. With Robotnik gone, Uncle Chuck—finally freed from robotic control—regains full command of his body and slips into the enemy base as a spy, using his new autonomy to strike from within.
In "A Robot Rides the Rails," the Freedom Fighters board a high-speed train to intercept a mysterious new robot weapon Dr. Robotnik is smuggling—only to find their mission derailed by the simmering rivalry between Sonic and Geoffrey St. John. With tension mounting and time running short, the team must navigate both mechanical traps and personal friction to stay ahead of the threat.
In "Blast from the Past," the Freedom Fighters uncover a prehistoric Moebian frozen in ice, launching a race to revive him before a swarm of Swat Bots—led by Sonic's roboticized dog, Muttski—overwhelm them. With time running out and danger closing in, the team must balance their rescue mission with the threat of a relentless robotic pursuit.
