Something Epic #3

Szymon Kudranski's Something Epic #3 from Image Comics presents a cover that's genuinely hard to look away from — a massive, roaring beast dominates the center of what appears to be an ornate, lightning-wreathed storybook portal, its enormous fanged maw aglow in violet light. Surrounding it is a wonderfully eclectic cast: a caped duck, a jack-o'-lantern figure, a hulking stone-like creature, a costumed hero in blue, a character wreathed in flame, a dog, and two figures perched dramatically at the top of the frame. Kudranski's art and colors give the whole image a charged, otherworldly energy that makes this 2023 series feel like something genuinely imaginative is unfolding.
