Solo — "The One Man War on Terror" — strides into its fourth issue with a cover that puts the armored, dual-pistol-wielding mercenary front and center, flanked by a shadowy running figure and a woman cradling an infant, while two menacing faces loom large in the background. The bold graphic design, mixing chevron patterns and retro swirls with greyscale vignettes, gives the whole composition a slick, spy-thriller energy that feels right at home in 2017 Marvel. Paco Diaz handles both pencils and inks here, delivering a confident, kinetic portrait of a man who clearly never stops working.
