Smosh #5

Dynamite's Smosh reaches its fifth issue with a cover that's hard to ignore — a tattooed, bejeweled figure draped in a dalmatian-print fur coat sits throne-like in a chair, a paper bag drawn with a scowling face serving as his head. Jerry Gaylord's pencils and inks pack the image with personality: gold chain bling, star-spangled pants, and knuckle tattoos spelling out "SMOSH" make this character an unmistakable presence. It's a wonderfully absurd portrait that captures the irreverent humor the Smosh brand brought to comics in 2016.
