The sixth volume of Soleil's Slhoka series, subtitled Les Méandres, arrives with a cover that crackles with energy — a young, blue-skinned figure stands amid crumbling debris, hands ablaze with swirling arcs of electric blue power, framed by the dark architecture of what appears to be a decaying urban corridor. It's a striking image, rendered by the creative team of Godderidge, Ceyles, and Torta, that conveys both vulnerability and raw, barely-contained force. A fine addition to this French fantasy series from 2012.
