Slam-A-Rama #5

Jan 2012 · Tuco Comics · 4.00 CAD

In Slam-A-Rama #5, written and illustrated entirely by Dave Howlett, the spotlight turns to Jack Jordan’s latest cinematic venture, "Fort Slaugherdale," as the ring drama unfolds with personal stakes. The match between Jordan and Luther Morgan becomes a turning point, leaving Robbie—watching from the crowd—both disillusioned and unexpectedly inspired. With a final, quiet moment of purchase and a closing shot of Slam-A-Rama III winding down, the issue ends on a note of quiet transformation. The cover, also by Dave Howlett, captures the tension and aftermath in bold, expressive lines.

Announcers Jason and Lee air the trailer for Jack Jordan's new movie, "Fort Slaugherdale." The match between Jack Jordan and Luther Morgan begins with a disappointed Robbie watching in the crowd. Robbie rips up the poster that Jack Jordan would not sign, as Jordan watches from inside the ring. Jordan's ego is so bruised that he does not notice Morgan punching him and loses the match by accident. Morgan becomes the new champion to the delight of Robbie, who purchases a Luther Morgan poster as Slam-A-Rama III comes to an end.
