Merche has little luck with men compared to her friend Charo. When Merche introduces Eduardo to Charo, he asks Charo to enter the dance competition with him instead of Merche. Afterwards, when Merche complains, Charo vows that on the day when Merche gets a boyfriend, she will maintain her distance. When Antonio arrives in the city, Charo falls for him but is determined to keep her vow when Antonio and Merche start seeing each other.
