Sint-Bartholomeüs #2

A large black crow perches atop a bloodstained Bible, its beak open in a cry, while a pale human hand reaches up from beneath — a striking, ominous image that sets the tone for Sint-Bartholomeüs #2: Dood hen allen. Éric Stalner's artwork on the cover is rendered with real atmospheric menace, the deep amber background and smears of crimson giving the scene a brooding, historically charged weight. This 2018 Dutch-language release from Daedalus looks to be a compelling piece of European historical comics storytelling.
