“The Speedster and the Spider!”

In "The Speedster and the Spider!", Quicksilver takes a surprising turn, stepping in to clear Spider-Man’s name after the Daily Bugle pins the blame for the golden tablet theft on the web-slinger. With Robbie’s exposé painting Peter Parker as the culprit, Quicksilver’s investigation leads him to question the truth behind the headlines—and discover that the real threat might be far more dangerous than the man in the mask. Written by Stan Lee and John Romita, with art by Romita and Mooney, and a cover by Romita, this 1971 classic blends action and moral complexity in a story where reputation and reality collide.

With Jonah down for the count, Robbie publishes Peter's pictures in the Bugle showing Kingpin, and not Spider-Man, to be the real crook in the case of the golden tablet. Trying to redeem himself after his recent career with Magneto, Quicksilver decides to bring in the menace known as Spider-Man but discovers he isn't the villain the Bugle has painted him to be.
