The Surfer notices that a power emanating from Latveria threatens the sun and flies down to investigate. He discovers Spider-Man, Wolverine and the Hulk trying to rescue Jubilee from Dr. Doom who has been experimenting on her to try and find an alternative energy source for his country. The Surfer helps the heroes destroy Doom's machines and free their companion.
