Silk #9

Silk and Black Cat make for an unlikely but undeniably cool team on Helen Chen's sleek cover, the two dangling in a chain through a security-laser-laced chamber as a large spider emblem looms on the wall below them. There's a real heist-movie energy to the image — two figures in motion, trusting each other's grip while glowing pink beams crisscross every direction. Robbie Thompson, Stacey Lee, and Ian Herring continue their run on this 2016 series, and issue #9 looks like exactly the kind of tense, stylish adventure this creative team does so well.
